In New York City, 1 in every 3 children lives in poverty. Association to Benefit Children (ABC) serves some of the most vulnerable children in NYC through comprehensive and compassionate programs that meet the urgent and complex needs of children and families living in poverty.
On November 2, 2019, our team will run the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K to raise funds for ABC's critical programs. Held the day before the TCS New York City Marathon, the 5k starts on First Avenue between 44th and 47th Streets, and concludes in Central Park, where runners will get to cross the famous marathon finish line. Funds raised will support ABC’s programs, which serve as a refuge and a network of support for families. Concentrated in East Harlem and the South Bronx but serving children all over NYC, ABC offers early childhood education, children’s mental health treatment and services, year-round youth development, abuse and neglect prevention services, family support, supportive housing, and an open door to the community.
