In efforts to fundraise for heroes battling COVID-19, 520Cares/MAD Multisport is pleased to announce our first virtual run/walk! Partcipants will receive a set of MAD and 520Cares Logo facemask/race bib fastener souvensir (sample is included on our GoFundMe page).
-What: Do five - 20 minutes (minimum) run/walk activity. Hence the 5-20 Run/Walk!
-Who: Anyone! Especially if you want to avoid the dreaded COVID-19 (pounds) from home lockdonwn, here is your chance to do your part!
-When: From now until May 20th (5-20 Day!)
-Why: 70% of your donation will be directed towards COVID-19-related fundraisers and 30% towards race swag, processing fees, and general administrative funding for 520Cares
-How: We ask that you make a minimum donation of $30. This virtual run/walk can be completed anytime/anywhere- the treadmill, your neighborhood, or at a nearby park. Just remember to keep a safe social distance!
1. Include “-520” behind your last name of the payment page to indicate you are participating in the virtual run/walk.
2. Email your shipping address to firstname.lastname@example.org for your race swag! (delivery expected in June)
While not required, you can post a segment completion picture on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/MADMULTI/). For non-members, please request to join the group! We are going by the honor system of you completing your events and posting your results for everyone to celebrate.

-Black 6 Project: With $10, you can feed a nurse/EMT at Flushing or Jamaica hospital (https://secure.givelively.org/donate/black-6-project/food-for-impact)
-John Murray/The Hero Joint- Patchogue: Packaged food drop off to PM nurses across 14 major LI hospitals. On average, 110-120 nurses are fed at each hospital drop-off!
