Last Fall, my mom, Kellie Turner was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer. The disease has metastasized (moved) and is being managed through palliative care. For those of you who know my mom, she hasn't changed. She is as creative, caring and passionate as ever. The disease is taking its toll but she continues to enjoy her life, the natural beauty and community that surrounds her in New Mexico.
On August 12th, I am riding a 50 mile mountain bike race in Steamboat Springs, CO to raise money for the American Cancer Society. I am asking for your help in the form of a $2 dollar donation for every mile I ride. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated and are fully tax deductible. We are truly grateful for any support you are able to lend.
More information on the race, the Steamboat Stinger, can be found here:
The course is made up of 90% single track, covering roughly 50 miles and 7,000 feet of elevation gain. Thank you for your support!
