Hi – my name is Walter Guillioli and I kindly ask you to join me in my effort to help 40 homeless animals as I try to run 40 miles for the first time to celebrate I just turned 40.
I am just a regular person with a normal job behind a desk that is trying to combine his passions to be healthier, help those in need and set a good example to his young son. As I turned 40 I wanted to do something challenging and what better way than to spend it running on the trails where I am at peace and happy. After all, ten years ago I could barely run a third of what I will try to do now. And I want to do this by raising the money needed to fund the sterilization surgery of 40 homeless dogs and cats in Guatemala in the department of Totonicapan where local authorities are currently poisoning them to avoid overpopulation in the streets.
I also want to start setting a good example to my 18-month old son Diego that we can do things that seem hard if we are willing to work hard for it. I want to inspire him by example to be better than me and to work hard, to be humble and to have the courage to help those in need.
It will be hard, long (I am a slow runner) and it will hurt. After all the longest I have run so far is 31 miles a few weeks back. But I will think of those innocent beings that suffer daily without hope. I aim to make a small difference in their life.
I will run the 40 miles on Sept 8th at the Snoqualmie Valley trail and the spay and neuter effort will occur on Sep 28th.
Please help me and donate what you can. I will personally match 100% of your donation.
The funds will go to the nonprofit I started in 2013 and that I manage. And I will partner with the amazing group in Guatemala Castraciones Guaus&Miaus for the sterilizations.
100% of the funds raised will go to the animals. People Saving Animals is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization incorporated in Washington State and it is 100% volunteer based. To learn more about it visit: peoplesavinganimals.org
