The Fool's Five is a 5 mile run that raises money for cancer research. Started in my hometown in Lewiston, Minnesota, the race is now in it's 41st year. The first 5 mile race was on April Fools day, hence the name.
I'm raising money again this year and my goal is $500.
Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way. My mom died from cancer a few years ago. I've had other family members pass away from cancer. I've had friends who've battled cancer. And I've had other special people have scares with cancer.
So on March 31st, come run or walk 5k or 5 miles with me to help raise awareness and/or donations for fighting cancer and to remember and celebrate those people in your life who've battled.
This will be a fun event, so there will be no timing, no prizes, no anything other than getting out and showing solidarity against an awful disease.

LOCATION: we'll be doing it in Washington Park in Denver. Starting at the southeast corner near South Denver High school (ample parking), we'll do either one or two loops of the park.
