3K MSA Walk

This walk is in honor of my sister, Suzy Helberg, who passed away in 2014 at just 52 years-old from Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). She was a loving sister, mother, daughter, aunt, and friend who is greatly missed every day. To keep her memory going I am fundraising for the MSA Coalition.

MSA is a rare degenerative neurological disease that usually strikes people in the prime of their life and slowly and progressively takes away their abilities to walk, talk, swallow, and breathe. The cause of this debilitating disease is unknown and currently there is no cure, and the average life expectancy is just 7-9 years from diagnosis. Because the disease is rare, there is a need for awareness and research to find a cure.

The MSA Coalition's mission is to support patients and caregivers; educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals; advocate for greater awareness; and finance and encourage meaningful research and identify a cause and find a cure. For more information about MSA and the MSA Coalition go to www.multiplesystematrophy.org.

Please join us on October 19th for a 3K walk (or just to come out and help support this cause) at the Wood County Fairgrounds in Bowling Green, Ohio. Hope to see you there! Thank you!!
