I knew I wanted to be a teacher, long before I became a runner. I am passionate about both things. I feel a good education is a vital piece to a child's life. God has blessed me with a love for children and teaching. Not all students get the luxury of having the education they deserve. I spend most days showing and encouraging students they can chase their dreams and make any of them a reality with hardwork and determination. Students are so easily discouraged when they fail, or there isn't immediate gratification. Help me demonstrate for them, that although I didn't reach my first goal, of qualifying for the Chicago Marathon, that I can learn from that experience and achieve my goal through helping others. Sometimes the route we take to reach a goal isn't the one we had envisioned, but with perserverance we can achieve anything. By supporting my fundraiser to help me achieve my Chicago dreams, you will be helping fund the education of SIXTEEN students. Not all kids are dealt a great hand of cards, but with the help of each other, we can supply them with a better education to improve their futures. I appreciate any and all donations, and if you have a goal, I hope you can apply that goal to help others along the way.
