"Third Time's A Charm!"
What an unexpected honor and blessing to have the opportunity to run Boston for a third time. I'm thrilled to join the 261 Fearless team and make a difference for women all over the globe.
If you've never heard of Kathrine Switzer, please take a few minutes to watch the video I shared on this page. She is a pioneer in women's running and an inspiration to any woman who desires to be empowered by a strong and supportive community.
Since finding my passion for running almost a decade ago, I have seen my life change in pretty incredible ways. With each finish line, I find myself more encouraged, more confident, and more intent on sharing my message with the world. Fortunately, women like Kathrine laid the groundwork and paved the way for female runners like me when she became the first woman ever to run and finish the Boston Marathon.
Her Boston story was not without struggle, as you will see when you watch the video. She fought stereotypes, race officials, and various other trials along the way. I'm proud to join her and the entire 261 Fearless team on the road to Boston this year. I'm grateful for your consideration and decision to join us!
Be Fearless. Be Free. Be Grateful. Run with 261.
261 Fearless, Inc. is a global non-profit organization founded by running pioneer Kathrine Switzer. 261 Fearless uses running as a vehicle to empower and unite women globally through education opportunities, the creation of local 261 running clubs, communication platforms and events.
Our main goal is to bring our 261 Education Program and 261 Club Model of social, non-competitive running to women all over the world, especially to those who still live in fearful situations. The creation of 261 communities for women leads to positive and fearless transformations.
