I started running in February 2013, for the very first time at the age of 38! I'm not and have never been a runner, far from being athletic. My close friends could attest to this and were surprised with my sudden interest. My interest in running started when I accompanied a friend to Paris to run his very first marathon. The atmosphere was overwhelming, everyone was in full force and I could feel the excitement in the air. I liked everything about it instantly and as they say, the rest is history.
To date, I have completed 11 full marathons, 5 of which are from the World Marathon Majors (WMM) and I'm sure there's many more to come. Boston Marathon 2020 is going to be my final leg under the World Marathon Majors series and I look forward to receiving the coveted 6th Star medal at the end of the journey.
Running promotes a healthy lifestyle through exercise, improves one’s self-esteem and helps develop a sense of social responsibility. Thus, I want to be a role model and aspire others to chase after their dreams. It’s never too late to start. I want my achievement to inspire youngsters to believe in their dreams and living it with passion. With determination, success is just 26.2 miles away!

I’d like to dedicate Boston 2020 to a very special friend of mine who doesn’t let cancer get into him. I’m so proud that he’s a strong, fearless fighter and I’m sure we will be running again in no time. You’re an integral part of my journey to Boston 2020.
