Whether we realize it or not, we are all impacted by cancer in one way or another. The more resources we dedicate toward finding a cure for this horrific disease the better. That's why I am heading out onto the streets, trails and treadmills across Columbus and beyond to run 250 miles in the name of cancer research.
A lot of people ask why I tie running or some sort of fitness event into my charitable work. The answer is simple... I run and exercise for those who can't. I am so blessed to have the ability to get up every morning, put on my running shoes and hammer out a workout or run. There are millions of people in this world who can't do that. I run for them. I run to give them hope that someday there will be a cure for whatever it is they are going through. I run, because the more I put my mind and body on the line the more attention I can bring to the world that truly needs the attention but doesn't always get it.
So join me on this journey of undertaking 250 miles for the month of July and help raise money for cancer research so together we can bring the fight back in cancer's face.
