The 2020 Run Across Haiti® dates are set and our runners are busy training. Over the past five years, the Run has collectively raised $1 million for our work in preparing and placing families in Haiti into good, dignified jobs, including jobs on the Run. The goal is to show that Haiti is not to be feared or to be pitied and to raise funds to end poverty in Menelas, our community we work alongside, through dignified jobs.
Our runners will cover 200 miles across the entire country from the north coast to the south coast over the course of 8 days. We'll run over mountain ranges and through the urban core, and in the process show you Haiti through our team's perspectives. A few of our WORK family members we work alongside are training to support the runners this year and they'll report from their checkpoints. The adventure begins on January 25, 2020.
Check out The North Face produced mini-documentary on our 2016 run, titled Further and our dispatch videos from 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Here's how you can help us reach our goal:
1) Pick a runner and DONATE. Check with your employer to see if they will match your donation!
2) Host a happy hour. Tell friends to bring a $20-dollar bill. Drink and be merry. Repeat.
3) SHARE, SHARE, SHARE WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS #RunAcrossHaiti
