I am THRILLED to be running my 4th Boston Marathon, my 2nd for Dougie's Team! This is a foundation near & dear to my heart. As a Boston native & Boston College graduate, Doug Flutie has always been a household name. My own son Declan was diagnosed with autism at age 3.5 & at the time I was sad, scared & worried of the unknown. His dad & I dove into the process & got Declan the support he needed to flourish academically & socially. And through his school & programs like those offered by the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, he has been shining bright & we haven’t looked back since. I have set my fundraising goal HIGH, the highest I’ve ever reached for, but that is because I truly BELIEVE in this foundation & its mission. I have run Boston before & I have fundraised for Boston before, BUT I plan to tackle the 2020 marathon as if it was my first & my last…with passion, determination & grit. PLEASE consider making a donation in any amount to help me reach my goal, every single dollar makes a difference. I am truly humbled & grateful for this opportunity again, thank you so much! xo 💙🦄💛 #dougiesteam #flutiefdn #charityteams *link in bio! 🧩

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 20-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $14 million to schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people affected by autism.
The Flutie Foundation also provides education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, and direct family support through its special programs. The Flutie Foundation’s newest initiative, Flutie Spectrum Enterprises, will help create businesses to employ adults with autism.
