Tomaso will put in the miles. You put in the dollars.
On Sunday, July 26, Tom DiJulio, aka Tomaso B. Veloci, will once again be riding to raise money and awareness for the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation. UHCCF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides medical grants to children whose health care is not covered, or not fully covered, by their family’s plan - whether they're UnitedHealthcare members or not.
Since 2007, UHCCF has awarded 22,000 grants valued at $50M to children and their families across the United States. UHCCF’s funding is provided by contributions from individuals, corporations and UnitedHealth Group employees, largely through events like this one.
Veloci, a world-renowned semi-professional cyclist and motivational speaker, will be riding a 100-mile course around the lakes and over the hills of central Minnesota and asks you to support his effort by making whatever financial contribution you can. His goal is to not only raise $2,000 but to also cover the 100 miles in five hours or less - which means maintaining an average speed of 20 mph. If you don't think he can do it, feel free to add 'bet he can't' in the comment box when you make your donation. But be ready to double your donation, if he does.
Con grazie e amore!
