Since 1993, Coaches vs. Cancer has served as a cohesive program for coaches of all sports and levels to unite as one team in the fight against cancer. On March 7, all teams in the NESCAC Women's Lacrosse conference are joining the fight and helping to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This year, one of our own was affected, Wesleyan Head Coach Kim Williams. As a conference we want to show her that she is not in this battle alone and that at the end of the day we are all one team. And we know she is not the only one fighting this battle and that many more people have been affected by cancer in some way or another. We want to help in any way we can! During the pregame warm-up, all teams will be seen wearing “Coaches vs. Cancer” shirts. Beforehand and through the day of March 7th, we will be collecting donations to help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 to give back to the American Cancer Society. We are looking forward to a competitive day of lacrosse across the conference while still uniting to join the bigger battle: the fight against cancer.
