Why This Matters
Thriving Families empowers women and their families to thrive by supporting new mothers with services such as workshops, case management, and counseling. As a vulnerable population during the COVID-19 crisis, many of our families are facing additional hardships including job loss and food insecurity. They also do not have access to essential supplies critical to the health, wellbeing, and safety of their newborns and young children. Emergency funding from #GivingTuesdayNow will allow us to purchase and deliver baby supplies directly to the low-income new and expecting mothers we support with our services. With the stress of delivering in a hospital during a pandemic along with a stay-at-home order, families are feeling isolated from their community—let’s show them some love while protecting the youngest and most vulnerable among us.
Make an Impact
Support Denver’s most vulnerable families at the most critical time. Your support will help us provide diapers, wipes, formula, infant car seats, and safe cribs to the families in our community who are struggling the most with the COVID-19 crisis.
At Thriving Families, we empower women and their families to thrive. We start with the earliest beginnings, offering services to mothers during pregnancy and just after a baby is born to support them in having the skills, tools, and resources they need to make bringing up their children a success. Workshops, case management, and counseling focus on positive parenting and child development, interpersonal skills, and resilience. Thriving Families is committed to building an inclusive, supportive, two-generation community where children, parents, and families flourish.
