It is my honor to be running the 2020 Boston Marathon for the Mass General Emergency Response Team!!
In 2014, the Mass General Emergency Response Marathon Team was created in recognition of the lifesaving response of hospital employees following the 2013 Boston Marathon® bombings. The ER Team has raised more than $2.3 million in six years, providing critical funding to the hospital’s emergency preparedness and disaster medicine efforts that benefits victims worldwide.
My desire to give back to Mass General comes from my experieences there in 2015 when I was diagnosed with Stage 2B Testicular Cancer and had to undergo Chemotherapy treatment. It was during that time I expereienced first hand the care and compassion from every person on my care team.
Because of the tremendous care and support that I continue to recieve from Mass General to this day on April 20, 2020 I will have an opprotunity to run the Boston Marathon and for this I will forever be grateful.
