Mass General has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Their staff has helped me through the day to day and the not so great days.
Running a marathon has been a dream of mine for the past ten years with Boston as being the pinnacle of that dream.
This year I received the amazing opportunity to run for the Emergency Response Marathon Team at MGHwhich was created in recognition of the lifesaving response of hospital employees following the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. Funds support the training and resources needed to develop a carefully integrated response that spans multiple departments throughout the hospital and ensures that Mass General is ready for any disaster – be it man-made or natural.
For the past 3 years I have lived down the street from MGH. I have seen what the brave men and women that work at the hospital endure day in and out to provide exceptional care to all that need it. My girlfriend, Gen, is a RN Case Manager there, and to be running for this organization that she contributes so much to makes me immensely proud of this opportunity.
Thank you for your support and encouragement.
See you at the finish line!
