Friends, family, Barton almunae,
If you’re reading this, you most likely know a woman in the House of Clara Barton at The King’s College. One of the unique opportunities for women in the House is to partake in an annual spring retreat coordinated by the House exec team. This retreat is an opportunity for House members to get away from the hustle of New York City and escape to a quaint town in New Jersey with their friends and fellow House members. Last year, the Barton retreat in the Catskill Mountains provided me with a much-needed break from the nonstop pace of New York. I had the chance to fellowship with like-minded women in my House. The weekend was restful and soul-refreshing.
I am writing this because we need your help to put on this retreat. Throughout the year, House leadership carefully allocates funds provided by the College and hosts bake sale fundraisers to generate revenue. Yet, it is not enough to cover the cost of this spring retreat. We kindly ask for you to consider donating to the House of Clara Barton to help finance our spring House retreat. Your donation will enable the women in the House to get a much-needed break from fast-paced city life for a restful and memorable weekend with their sisters.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. I would be happy to speak with you!
