Our 3rd Annual Boulder Skyline Traverse event is taking place on Saturday, September 12th. The teams have chosen one of three challenges to raise funds for MHP’s Suicide Prevention Education Campaign: "Be 1 of 4098". The team who raises the most money wins!

Challenge information:

The Skyline Traverse Challenge:

This route is suited for seasoned runners who can run the entire Boulder Skyline Traverse. This is a 17 mile route that traverses the five peaks that top Boulder’s western landscape. The run starts at the South Mesa trailhead and ends at MHP’s Ryan Wellness Center (1000 Alpine Ave, Boulder, CO 80304) in Boulder.

The Couch Challenge:
Participate in the fun from the comfort of your couch! Participants will seek support from family, friends, and colleagues for MHP’s suicide prevention education and community mental health education. Accelerate your fundraising power by inviting others to support you!

Money raised will support:

Over the past two years, this event has raised over $35,000! These contributions were used to fund MHP’s suicide prevention initiative: “Be 1 of 4098.” This campaign works to prevent future suicides by educating individuals on how to recognize when someone is reaching out for help and how to effectively respond to those invitations. Since the beginning of our “Be 1 of 4098” campaign, we’ve trained over 3000 people in Boulder and Broomfield Counties!

This year, funds raised from The 3rd Annual Boulder Skyline Traverse will also contribute to the “Be 1 of 4098” campaign, as well as support additional suicide prevention efforts, such as providing community training/classes in suicide prevention, developing suicide prevention education resources in Spanish, expanding support groups around loss and interventions/crisis interventions in schools, and developing collateral material.
