We're super excited to have Jackie Goudreault and Amanda Harrow running the Boston Marathon for the District in 2020! Jackie and Amanda are honored to be able to run in the 2020 Boston Marathon and raise funds to support the Cultural District!
I was born and raised in Natick and graduated from NHS in 2005! Go Redmen! Running is a new hobby/passion of mine, but I have always been fascinated by marathon runners and their perseverance. Watching people cross finish lines of any kind of race was always inspiring. It was not until I joined OTF Natick that I found out I could even run and liked it. Soon after I signed up for my first 5k and I was hooked! Running has helped me with my anxiety/depression and over life stressors, which I know we all struggle with. 5k's soon became half-marathons and now here I am running the Boston Marathon 2020!
I have done a lot of hard work to prepare for this. While waiting to hear if I had a bib, I ran two half marathons a month to stay in shape and in training mode. Now the time is here!
I am running for my hometown that I have so much love for, which makes doing this race more meaningful to me. I said I was going to do it so I did it!
You never know until you try!
You are enough!
Any donation small or large would mean so much to me and the Natick Cultural District! Read below to see what they are all about.
Jackie: Running the Boston Marathon has been a dream of Jackie's for years. She played soccer in college and always enjoyed running in her free time, but never thought completing a Marathon was possible. "I am so honored to be able to run for Natick. Running The Boston Marathon is the highest honor. I am so appreciative of everyone who is willing to donate and cheer us on!"
The Natick Center Cultural District is a private-public partnership, between the Town of Natick and managed by Natick Center Associates. This nonprofit organization is comprised of property owners, retail and office workers, concerned neighbors, town officials, nonprofits and corporations with a history of more than 40 years working together for downtown revitalization. We host events such as ArtWeek, Natick Nights, Multicultural day and many more events throughout the year, they support the local business through targeted marketing events, fund public art projects as well as support our local art community.
