Traveling Programs’ mission is to teach exciting outreach programs that ignite curiosity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M). We serve as ambassadors to extend the Museum of Science’s mission to communities throughout New England so that all students may see themselves as scientists. Last year we made 1,089 outreach visits, taught 2,127 programs, served over 100,000 people, and drove 65,367 miles. Communities need science enrichment programs more than ever, and we need your help. Your support will aid in scholarships, program expansion, and of course, the vans that make this entire program possible.
Our programs are a big hit, but don’t take it from us, we’ll let educators and students tell you themselves:
“The students absolutely loved the program! They have been talking about it ever since. Most of our students in Holyoke do not get many chances to visit museums or zoos, so when experiences like these come around our kids are completely engaged and appreciative.” - Holyoke, MA: 5th grade teacher, Peck-Lawrence Full Service Community School.
“Each year it gets better. We had an interested group of about 40 kids and parents. Everyone was raptly attentive, asked involved, appropriate questions and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Thanks for the wonderful addition to our summer.” - Everett, MA: Children’s Librarian, Parlin Memorial Library
