It was October 6, 2011... Having been a smoker for the better part of my life I knew I had to make a change. It was the day I decided be a runner.
8 years, 9000km and half a million calories later I am on the final leg of my Abbott World Marathon Majors journey.
The Abbott World Marathon Majors is a series of six of the largest and most renowned marathons around the world: Chicago, New York, London, Berlin, Tokyo and Boston.
I started my journey in 2015 in Berlin and have completed 1 major a year since. Boston will be my finish line and I have been very fortunate to recieve a charity entry from the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) which is a nonprofit visual and performing arts center.
Funds raised by the HCA team will ensure the HCA can provide quality programming and education in the visual and performing arts in MetroWest! These funds are used for scholarships, free jazz concerts, free Shakespeare under the stars, discounted children's performances and programs for seniors and adults with disabilities.
