The eighth annual BankNewport 10 Miler is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. on May 31, 2020. The course prominently features Newport’s scenic coastal views and ends with a truly unique finish as participants enter Fort Adams through the north gate and finish on the parade field.
In 2020, the BankNewport 10 Miler will feature two non-profit beneficiaries. The event will once again benefit the Fort Adams Trust, and spotlight their important mission to protect and promote the historic places and public spaces at the gateway to Narragansett Bay and Newport. This includes directing and supporting the stabilization, restoration, maintenance and operation of Fort Adams as a public historic site.
Additionally, the race will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Newport County. It is with pride and privilege our event will help this local organization achieve its mission of inspiring and enabling all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
In addition to donating a portion of every registration fee to the two causes listed above, we encourage our runners to set their own fundraising goal for our charitable partners, or any charity close to their hearts. By setting up a fundraiser here on Crowdrise, participants can raise money directly for their chosen cause!
There are no fundraising minimums or requirements for the race. You must register via the race website to participate in the event — fundraising alone does not secure your race registration,
