Make your Splash in North Carolina!
Join the New River Conservancy for the 2019 Splash for the Cash and paddle away on a guided fishing trip with our Watauga River Keeper!
The money raised by your efforts in North Carolina will go towards our River Clean Up Programs.
In 2018 alone, we removed 814 tires & 33,160 pounds of trash with the help of 194 volunteers, and raised a total of $6,500 through our innaugural Splash for the Cash event!

4) Between June 21st and July 24th invite people you meet along the way to particpate by making a gift!

How: To sign up to float, click the "Register" button above
When: Saturday July 27th at 10am
Where: Waganor Acess at New River State Park. The New River Conservancy will be floating from Zaloo's Canoes to Wagoner Access at New River State Park.
Entry fee to float:
12 years and under $10/child.
Your entry fee will cover the cost to shuttle from the New River State Park to Zaloos
The meeting location for this event is at Waganor Acess. There will be a shuttle to take paddlers and their equipment from Waganor Access to Zaloo's to put-in. Folks that made arrangements in advance to use Zaloo's equipment can pick up said eqipment once the shuttle drops everyone off at Zaloos.
Your are welcome to bring your own equipment (Boats, Paddles, PFDs, etc.)
PFDs (life jackets) are required!
If you need to rent equipment, you can coordinate with zaloos directly.

After the float, join us at the New River State Park for food, fellowship, and fun!! Prize winners will be announced at the Annual Celebration the following day.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Park at Wagonr Acess New River State Park. Shuttles will be provided to zaloos as long as you're registered.
How long can I expect to be on the water?
Time on the water will be approximately 2-3 hours.
What time does the after party begin?
The after party begins once you get out of the water (approx. 1 pm) at Wagoner Acess New River State Park.
