The Skaha Lake Ultra Swim is an 11.8k point-to-point swim in the warm, fresh waters of Skaha Lake. The course meanders along the warm-water (23°C or 74°F on average) shoreline nestled within an incredibly scenic valley making it an ideal location for ultra distance swims.
I would like to introduce you to Roy McBeth with his personal story. Please read and donate if are able,
Shelie Best, Race Director.
I'm Looking forward to my second appearance at the Skaha Ultra since receiving my living donor transplant in 2015. I have been extremely fortunate post transplant to be feeling well and have the ability to continue participating in the events that I love! I started swimming in 2010 when I began participating in Triathlon and in 2017 completed Skaha in a time of 3:29. I am extremely excited that the event is raising funds for the Kidney Foundation. My goal for the 2019 event is to inspire individuals that have received transplants and those struggling with kidney disease by showing what is possible through the gift of organ donation ... a finish time goal of 3:15 would also be amazing!!
See you on the beach
