The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. With seven locations in Wake County, children and teens have a safe place to go after school where they are filled with a sense of purpose, belonging and are exposed to new experiences and opportunities. There are five locations in Raleigh and one location each in Wake Forest and Zebulon. Boys & Girls Clubs has over 5,000 registered Members with attendance average of 1,000 daily at the seven Clubs. 41% of the membership come from single-parent families and 70% are eligible for free-or-reduced-price lunches. During the school year, our five Raleigh Clubs serve meals each day – over 400 meals a day. And over 500 members are transported from school to their Club daily. Members range in age from 6 to 18 years old and, and because of our focus on children who need us most, membership fees are only $7.50 for the year.
Whatever it takes – to build Great Futures for our Members – homework help, mentorship, health & fitness, art & music, career counseling, culinary arts and so much more – Whatever it takes.
