Almost three years ago, I decided it was time to start caring about myself. I was done with what seemed like years of pregnancy and nursing, and I was ready to get moving. I downloaded the Couch25k app, and on that first run, I couldn't complete the 90 second jog necessary to move onto the next run. Fast forward to today, I have run two 10K's, about 10 5K's and running has become part of who I am. The thought of running 7 miles (at once. In one day. with other people watching) terrifies me, but I know that if I don't reach out of my comfort zone, I won't grow. So, here it goes! Please take a minute and read through how amazing Spaulding Race for Rehab is and all they do! I can't wait to be involved with such an incredible organization.
SCC is again proud and excited to be the sponsor of the New Balance Falmouth Road Race Wheelchair Division.
One of the premier running events of the summer season, the 7-mile Falmouth Road Race winds through tree-lined streets and follows sandy beaches past iconic Nobska Light and Falmouth Harbor, finishing in scenic Falmouth Heights. The race attracts Olympians, Paralympians, elite and recreational racers, all cheered on by 75,000 enthusiastic spectators.
