Three years ago Keja came to Cape Cod for the Summer to help open and run Spaulding's McGraw Center for Adaptive Sports - a unique collaboration between a Spaulding and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. For the past 3 years, The McGraw center has been providing summer adaptive sports and recreation to both the local community and vacationing families, alike. The summer of 2019 is proving to be the biggest yet with more participants and many new faces from both near and far enjoying cycling on the Cape Cod Rail Trail and kayaking on Cliff pond. Chris has joined the team of dedicated regular volunteers that help this program run. You can find him as a cycling companion or the leading participants to the hidden fishing spots on the pond.
We are so excited that Spaulding Cape Cod is again sponsoring the Falmouth Road Race Wheelchair division and that our team's fundraising is supporting the McGraw Center! Please help us support this fantastic program.
Spaulding Cape Cod is again proud and excited to be the sponsor of the New Balance Falmouth Road Race Wheelchair Division.
One of the premier running events of the summer season, the 7-mile Falmouth Road Race winds through tree-lined streets and follows sandy beaches past iconic Nobska Light and Falmouth Harbor, finishing in scenic Falmouth Heights. The race attracts Olympians, Paralympians, elite and recreational racers, all cheered on by 75,000 enthusiastic spectators.
Proceeds to benefit: Spaulding Cape Cod’s McGraw Center for Adaptive Sports, which includes all Cape-based adaptive sports activities and the McGraw Center at Nickerson State Park.
