I am so excited about bringing this fundraiser to my network of super cool and involved people.
I am doing Ironman Florida in November and want to marry it with a fundraiser to create a positive impact towards something so close to my heart. I personally love to volunteer and I am a big sucker for the underdogs in this world.
I need your help to fund a new waterproof storage shed for Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley https://wcsv.org/.
In 2019, I joined the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley https://wcsv.org/ as an animal rehab volunteer to help rehabilitate and release wild animals who need urgent care. I feed, clean and medicate some of the coolest animals on the planet.
WCSV's mission is to provide the highest quality care to sick, injured and orphaned local wildlife. Release is the goal! In a world where humans interact with wildlife more than ever before, the majority of animals coming through are injured as a result of the intersection of humans and wildlife (think being hit by automobiles, tree trimmings/bird nests, garbage ingestion/strangulation, dog bites, rodenticide from animals eating poison intended for rodents, etc). WCSV typically has 500+ animals onsite at any given time (mammals, birds, reptiles/amphibians) and has accepted 3,000+ so far this year for treatment.
WCSV works on a shoestring budget and relies on donations and volunteers to accomplish almost everything. There is an IMMEDIATE NEED at the shelter to replace their main waterproof storage shed. This shed is huge and houses food, supplies, medication and fundraising materials. Last spring the roof gave and destroyed the contents inside. They have thrown a large tarp over the entire dilapidated structure temporarily. As California heads into the rainy season, I want to help them replace the shed.
I not only hope to help WCSV with an immediate need, but I also hope along the way to share some super cool information about wildlife that will help educate everyone on how amazing our ecosystem and wildlife is and how important it is to help protect it. I can't wait to share pictures and tell stories about the crazy days I have been able to be a part of at WCSV. I know many of my peoples have mutual compassion ❤️and that I can rely on this community to help solve a very important problem for WCSV so that they can continue the incredible work they do. THANK YOU!!!!!!
