Hello Phoenixville! My name is Robbie Dickson-Ebersole. Nice to meet you! I am 8 years old, and have lived my whole life here in this great town! I know you are probably thinking "Your whole life" - you are only 8. Well let me tell you a little story. I have spent my past 8 years living right on the parade route. I have always LOVED having a front row seat to all the action and excitement that comes with the Dogwood Festival each year. My first Dogwood Parade - I was 11 months old and slept through the whole thing. The next year I spent sitting and splashing in my pool on the front porch, and then in the years after that I sat curbside and loved dancing in the street! I asked my moms a couple of times about being the Prince, but they wanted me to wait until I had a good understanding of what it really means to raise money for a cause. This year with money being raised for an all abilities playground practically in my backyard, I knew the time was right. I know a thing or two about the fact that my friends and peers all have different abilities. I was born at 28 weeks....a tiny 2 pounder who has seen and lived alot in my short 8 years. I have come into contact with so many children during my many visits to Childrens Hospital and even right here in our town who would benefit and be so happy to have a playground that they could play in with me. I love the community we have here....I feel like I have such a big extended family. When I am out on the town with my moms, everywhere we go I see people I know, we stop and chat and it always feels good. From crossing guards, to merchants, friends, teachers, coaches, even the mayor! I look forward every year to catching up with the vendors at the Dogwood festival who I have come to know and love. The things I love about growing up in Phoenixville are - I can walk everywhere, school, the library, the Colonial Theater, the parks. Reeves Park is practically in my back yard - in fact, I used to call it Robbies park. The playground at Holy Family I have always called the Tiny Park. I love all the great places to eat -Francos is always a favorite and Great American Pub in the summertime! I love sitting on my front porch in the mornings during the summer and watching our town wake up. I have good friends, and good neighbors here. This is my kind of town! One day if I am lucky maybe I will be Mayor of this awesome town! I would love if you could help me reach my fundraising goal. I really want ALL kids to be able to play on the playground at Reeves Park! Thank you so much!
