Dear Friends & Enemies:
As some of you know, I volunteer at a children's hospital on the weekends performing magic for children at their bedsides. The program is run by Open Heart Magic -- it's a wonderful non-profit organization. They do great work.
This year I'm raising money for OHM as part of their charity racing team at the 2019 Chicago Marathon. (If I manage to finish all 26.2 miles without soiling myself, I will consider that a great moral, if not athletic, achievement.)
I hate asking for money. But I like helping people. Thanks in advance for allowing me to combine these two great passions by donating to my fundraiser.
As an expression of my personal gratitude to all who contribute, I'll be offering the following "thanks you's" according to donation level:
$10: I will teach you a good magic trick. You will like it. It's fine.
$25: I will teach you a great magic trick. You will be loved and adored.
$50: I will teach you a mindreading trick. You will be feared and respected.
$100: I will perform a 30-minute close-up magic show for a gathering of you & your friends. You will have THE BEST TIME (and the social media posts to prove it).
$250: I will perform a 50-minute mindreading show for a gathering of you & your friends. You will speak about this experience in hushed tones for the rest of your lives.
$500: I will perform a seance for a gathering of you & your friends. (I *rarely* perform this act any more -- please message me privately if you're genuinely interested, as I have a number of conditions in order to ensure the safety of you and your guests.)
For obvious reasons, I can only offer the performance thank you's to folks in the Chicagoland area. But the magic lessons are open to anyone (Skype/Facetime), and the more you donate, the more I'll teach you.
