As many of you know I have spoken so highly about Camp Calumet in Freedom, NH. I was fortunate to go there for 8 years as a camper, did a year of leadership training, and 5 years on staff. This small camp on a lake in the middle of the mountains has been so influential in my life. It has given me friends to last a lifetime, and memories/experiences that I wouldn't have had anywhere else. Another large part of my life has been running. So what we be better than putting the two of these together? Nothing. It is with great pleasure that I announce I will be running the 2-day, 200 mile relay called Reach the Beach for one of Camp Calumet's 6 teams for the 3rd straight year!!! We are running to help offset the costs of sending kids to camp. Help support me and kids who want to go to camp by donating to the campership fund.
Calumet is taking part in it's 10th Reach The Beach: a two-day, 200 mile race across New Hampshire. This year, we have 72 runners, 12 drivers, and a bunch of support participating in the run that starts at Bretton Woods and ends at Hampton Beach. Donations to support Reach The Beach go directly to help Calumet.
In 2018 Calumet provided campership awards in the amount of $110 to EVERY SINGLE camper, and additional support for those kids who needed special help covering the fees. This Reach the Beach fundraiser allows Calumet’s fee to be as low as possible thereby keeping in within reach for every family. Any amount you can give truly makes a huge difference. Thanks so much for your support!
