I'm beyond honored to be part of the KeepSmilin4Abbie 2019 Boston Marathon Team. Anaphlaxis is something that has impacted my family for over 30 years. My father, my sister, and I all have life threatening food allergies. My father and I have a rare condition where we could experience anaphylaxis without being exposed to a trigger food.
Abbie Benford loved life and lived life to the fullest and was "Always Smilin". She inspires me to continue to live my life to the fullest, and indeed, always smile. Her parents are courageous individuals who started this foundation in the hopes to help save millions of lives. Including mine. Words cannot express my gratitude for the work this family does, and I am humbled to be a part of team KeepSmilin4Abbie.
Let's reach our $10,000 so we can all help #stopanaphylaxis, and let us remember to Always Keep Smilin'.

The KeepSmilin4Abbie Foundation's® mission is to #stopanaphylaxis®. Anaphylaxis is an allergic reaction to food, insect stings, medicine, or latex. There are 15 million Americans and >17 million people in Europe at risk of anaphylaxis. We are an all volunteer charity that funds RESEARCH into technology enabled early detection and treatment of anaphylaxis, AWARENESS programs, and two SCHOLARSHIPS.
Ellie Brelis and Julie Hurd are Team KeepSmilin4Abbie. They're raising money for Project Abbie, a project to create an early detection and treatment device that will de-risk the lives of those at risk of anaphylaxis. Please support Team KeepSmilin4Abbie to help #stopanaphylaxis®!
