I'm excited to announce that I am embarking on my 10th season helping raise money for Tedy's Team. I ran my first Boston Marathon in 2011 as a member of this Team and since have run another 36 marathons all over the country.
Over the course of the last 9 years, through the outpouring of support from family and friends, we have raised over $213,000 for Tedy's Team. This year, we have made it our goal to move closer to $250,000 raised for Tedy's Team.
Tedy's Team is an amazing group of runners, survivors, and supporters who have been touched by stroke and have found healing in helping others through similar situations. Members of Tedy's Team are family, friends and caregivers of people who have been impacted by stroke but what's inspiring is that a lot of our team members are stroke survivors. Running alongside all of these people of different ages, athletic abilities who have overcome such a life-changing medical event is humbling & inspiring.
My involvement with the team started because my Dad and others close to me have had strokes, leading to my family's involvement with Tedy’s Team in 2010. Our family's passion for this team grew when three years ago, while away to run a marathon with the team, we got a call that Katie's mom had just suffered a stroke. When we got to the hospital, we learned that she recognized her symptoms from our family’s involvement with Tedy’s Team.
The work Tedy's Team does has not only helped people we care about make full recoveries, but also helped them recognize the need to get treatment instead of ignoring symptoms. Last year, Tedy's Team launched the Comeback Assistance Program to provide financial assistance to survivors and caregivers recovering from stroke & heart disease. We are excited to see the direct impact our team can make for these people.
With that, I am reaching out for your help in raising funds to educate and fight stroke.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to our fundraising efforts. Most importantly, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the warning signs of stroke and if you or someone you know has these symptoms, take them seriously.

Welcome to the Tedy's Team fundraising website.
The mission of Tedy's Team is to raise awareness for stroke and heart disease while supporting survivors on their journey, giving them a means for a comeback!
Tedy's Team was originally founded in 2005, when Tedy Bruschi, former linebacker for the New England Patriots suffered a stroke shortly after winning his 3rd Super Bowl and just days after returning from his first Pro Bowl.
Tedy's Team participates in the Boston Marathon, Falmouth Road Race, and this year's travel event is Duke City Race Weekend in New Mexico!
We are honored to be part of the Offical Charity Program of the Boston Marathon and the Numbers for NonProfits Program at the New Balance Falmouth Road Race for 15 years. The Boston Athletic Association and the NBFRR hav allowed us to utilize their platforms to elevate the awarenss of the warning signs of stroke, which are best remembered by using the acronym BE FAST, which stands for:
Speech Difficulties - and if you notice any of those warning signs, it's...
TIME TO CALL 9-1-1.
