The 2018 Vietnam Mission Trip fundraiser is focused on covering essential expenses for four members of the mission team to allow them to participate in this summer´s medical mission to Vietnam.
In August of 2018 our organization will be leading a team of 27 medical and support personnel on a mission trip to Kon Tum in the central highlands of Vietnam. Kon Tum is an agricultural region near the Cambodian and Laotian borders. Many of the people of this region live in straw houses and survive on a diet of minimal calories with little to no healthcare.
Included in this year´s mission team are four students who possess the passion to serve with the team but lack the financial resources to pay the required travel expenses which all team members are required to provide. Hand in Hand encourages young people to be part of the team, not just to give back and to connect with the Vietnamese culture, but also to give them an opportunity to work with compassionate professionals like our doctors, dentists, pharmacists, therapists, engineers and others.
