The two Junior Wheel Blazers basketball teams - Varsity and Prep -- are competitive teams that are raising funds to:
1. travel to local, regional and national tournaments,
2. assist in new athlete recruitment, and
3. purchase adaptive equipment.
Adaptive Sports NW's Junior Wheel Blazer teams are comprised of youth with physical disabilities from all over Oregon and SW Washington.
They are committed to playing a sport they love and are willing to travel far to practice and be a part of these two teams. The Varsity team consists of high school athletes, aged 14-18, and the Prep team consists of players aged 7-13.
Every year the season GOAL is to qualify for the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) National Tournament. In its 6-year history, the Junior Wheel Blazers have played in two NWBA National Tournaments in Louisville, Kentucky. Your donation can help them compete in Kentucky!
This is an incredible opportunity for the athletes, team and our organization! Traveling costs money, and this is a stretch financially for our small local non-profit organization that does so much for adaptive athletes in the Oregon and SW Washington area.
Every donation helps us support our teams and we greatly appreciate it! No donation is too small. GO WHEEL BLAZERS! #TeamASNW
