The 2018 Roller hockey tournament is to raise money for Ice Hockey in Harlem. The mission of IHIH is to improve the social and academic well being of children from the Harlem community. Our organization offers programming that allows children in our community to take advantage of the educational and athletic opportunities provided by youth sports. Through participation in ice hockey, IHIH student-athletes learn the fundamentals of the game, engage in an active lifestyle and broaden their life experiences. Please see icehockeyinharlem.org
TESTIMONIALS
Ice Hockey in Harlem is more than a hockey program. As a parent of a young man who recently graduated, I am very proud that we were part of this program. Ice Hockey in Harlem is very dedicated to the children in the community. They have provided my son with the opportunity to learn and play hockey, as well as to travel out of state to play hockey. If that isn't enough, my son has traveled to Canada for camp thanks to IHIH!!! - Ohacy Feliz, parent of former student Devin Gonzalez who is now attending John Jay College
Ice Hockey in Harlem is a great program! It has helped me in and out of the classroom. Because I attended its book club, my reading scores have gone up and I enjoy reading more. IHIH has also helped me to create long lasting relationships with my teammates and coaches. But most importantly IHIH has allowed me to continue to do what I love the most…PLAY HOCKEY! - Alvin Dow, former student now attending Canisius College
