Lung Cancer affects millions of families all around the world every year. My story is no different. In September of 2015, my grandmother Brenda Mullins was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lung Cancer. In September of 2018, my grandmother lost the battle.
My family and I miss her every single day. She was a woman not only loved by all of her family, but by so many others in her life.
Since her passing, I have ran a special car on iRacing in her honor. It bears the American Lung Association colors and logo's, and her name above the passenger side door.
November is Lung Cancer Awareness month. On November 22nd, I am hosting the first of what I hope to be many Charity races in her honor. It is being called the Brenda Mullins Lung Force 250. For those entering the race, I am asking for a $10 donation to this fundraiser to help raise money for Lung Cancer research.
While there will be a limited number of spots available for this race, I do hope that anyone that sees this will consider donating to the cause. I am hoping to raise $1,000 for this event. If you can, any donation is welcome and greatly appreciated by not just me, but everyone in my family as well as any family who has watched a loved one suffer from this terrible disease.
