17th Annual Walk for Animals

We cant wait to see you at this years Walk for Animals! This event is just plain FUN! We get to go for a walk with our furry friends, share our love of animals with our community, and raise big bucks that will help us care for animals in need. What more could you ask for?

The Walk will be held at Grafton Village Cheese Company on Linden St. in Brattleboro. The registration table opens at 9 am. At 10 am, we will walk a short route (just over a mile) into town before we return to Grafton for ice cream, dog treats, and prizes!

Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome (no flexi-leads please). Its also fine to leave Fido at home if this is not his idea of fun but the more humans we have walking and showing that they care about animals, the better!

All walkers who raise $50 or more will get an awesome Walk for Animals t-shirt, and top fundraisers will win prizes from local businesses.

Thanks to community support, WCHS is doing great things for animals and the people that love them. In fact, we are helping more animals than ever, thanks to you! So, grab your friends, two and four-legged, and make plans to join us on September 28th!

The Windham County Humane Society is assisting more animals than ever before. How do we do it? With your help! We are the only shelter in Vermont that provides affordable wellness care to pet parents that are struggling financially. This helps keep pets happy, healthy and in their homes, which in turn creates the space and resources for us to save the lives of animals transported from overcrowded shelters where they are euthanized simply because there is not enough space.

When you join the Walk for Animals, you engage your own friends, family and colleagues to raise funds that make is possibe for us to care for animals in need. It's fun, it's easy, and it's oh-so-gratifying!  Come walk with us!
