16 BEDS & A SPRINKLER SYSTEM - KEYS TO OPEN OUR DOORS!
In a world of pain and suffering, fear and loneliness, and death, there is the hope of a place of peaceful passage. Here in Knoxville, TN, there is a sunny field, near a park where the birds sing, the air is sweet, and the hammers have recently ceased. A beautiful new wing has been completed alongside an empty church building. This is Sacred Ground Hospice House, a $4,000,000 miracle in the making, funded solely by donations. It is here that the presence of God is making a way for the dying to pass into eternity with tenderness, compassion, and love. Without regard for religion or even a lack of it, the doors are set to open to anyone - everyone - in mid-July 2021.
*Why 16 Beds? We had a promise of 20 beds to be donated but never materialized. 16 Beds and accessories will cost approximately $100,000.
*What about the Sprinkler System? The original building never had a Sprinkler System. Our newly constructed wing has a Sprinkler System installed per the codes. To use the existing building, we must install one prior to any further use. A new Sprinkler System is upwards of $140,000.
All funds collected from this fundraiser go to purchase beds first and then put towards the new Sprinkler System so that we will be able to continue to hold on-site fundraisers, provide community classes and for storage.
BUT WITHOUT BEDS, THE DOORS REMAIN CLOSED and those in need of tender care and peaceful passage go without both.
So won't you please do just these 3 things to help us:
PRAY without ceasing,
GIVE joyfully and generously, and
SHARE OUR STORY WITH EVERYONE;
it is our prayer that by sharing this experience, you may be called to do the same in your community!
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have pass away." Revelation 21:4
