CONTINUE THE SNOWFEST TRADITION!
Organized by: SnowFest North Lake Tahoe
EVENT DATE Mar 03, 2016
The Lake Tahoe Snow Festival or "SnowFest" is a beloved annual event that takes place along the North Shore of Lake Tahoe and Truckee. For almost 35 years, events such parades on the street and by torchlight on a mountain, polar bear plunges, luaus, dog sled races, and food & wine events have brought the community together and inspired tourists with a love of Tahoe to return year after year.
SnowFest is the Lake Tahoe area's only fundraiser that benefits multiple area nonprofit organizations. SnowFest also supports local businesses, resorts, and attractions. Today, SnowFest is being managed by loyal volunteers. In an effort to reduce costs, SnowFest, under the direction of John Haines, has moved to a shared office space.
Additional efforts are being made to keep costs down, obtain grants, and raise funds so we may continue this incredible Lake Tahoe tradition. We would like SnowFest 2016 to be bigger and better than ever! Our goal of $20,000 will not only help this year's event but will restore our organization financially so that we can begin planning events for 2017 and beyond.
We are calling out to our community to help us continue this incredible legacy. SnowFest will take place March 4 - 13, 2016. We are excited to be adding some new local non-profits to the SnowFest family that include High Fives, InnerRhythms Dance Centre, The Squaw/Alpine Foundation, and The Lake Tahoe Ski Club.
Please help us to keep the SnowFest tradition alive and thriving by clicking the donate button on this page. Every dollar counts and with your help, we can keep the SnowFest tradition going and continue our support of local charities and non-profit organizations!
Thank you for your support and pray for snow!
