For 57 years, the warmth and community of North Hills Co-Operative Nursery School has provided a nurturing and supportive environment that extends the feel of home into the classroom. Each child’s preschool experience has been enhanced through family involvement.
Due to the current Safer at Home orders, the doors of our non-profit preschool have been closed since March 13th. Our wonderful Teacher has been holding weekly zoom calls and sending the children daily arts and crafts projects to keep the children and families connected and engaged. While we’ve shifted to distance learning, we have still had to pay rent on our space. We were fortunate to have built a small emergency savings, however, this is rapidly dwindling. Once we receive clearance to open, we will also need to put money towards PPE, cleaning supplies and certain accommodations to make the school acceptable by the CDC guidelines during this pandemic. This money would also keep us going if a second wave of COVID 19 forces another temporary shut down.
Our Co-op has an extensive family and we call on all of you at this time. We are reaching out to you now, as family, alumni, friends, in hopes that you will all remember how you and/or your children benefitted from participating in this Co-op. We are asking for donations so that North Hills Co-Op may survive this shut down and continue to offer such a special preschool experience to families in the community for many more years to come. No amount is too small. We appreciate any donations. Much love to everyone, and please stay safe.
