Over 20 years ago, NOFA-VT began the Farm Share Program with two goals in mind: 1. Increase access to local food for Vermonters with limited income and 2. Support the efforts of CSA farmers to feed everyone in their communities. This week we have an exciting opportunity to raise additional funds to meet these goals.

For EVERY DOLLAR that we raise, up to $10,000, Newman’s Own Foundation will MATCH it. Help us turn $10,000 into $20,000!

Due to increased demand for the program, in recent years we have turned away on average 180 Vermonters trying to access a CSA share through the Farm Share Program because of limitations on our funding. With an extra $20,000 we would not have to turn away any families. In fact, we could grow the size of the program to reach more families, and do so reliably for the next two years. This would be meaningful step forward in addressing food insecurity in every community across Vermont. Imagine a world where everybody who wants a CSA can afford one and CSA farmers are paid the full price for their shares - that’s the kind of world that I want to live in.
