Noon Network Trek 4 Trykes
EVENT DATE: May 30, 2015
DEADLINE TO GIVE: May 29, 2015
Trek 4 Trykes is a fundraiser to provide AmTryke therapeutic tricycles to people with disabilities right here in Salina, Kansas. Click the gray Join the Event button to become a "Trekker" and make a difference today!
What is a Trek, you say? You can Trek it your way: Walk or Run! Our (roughly) 1 mile route three times for a 5k that will follow the lovely trail inside Jerry Ivey Park, Magnolia and Ohio, at 8 am. Registration begins at 7:30 am in the Gazebo.
Trek 4 Trykes registration is only $20 but we encourage every “Trekker” to raise $100 or more in pledges from their friends, family and community connections - so we can get more riders rolling.
The first 50 Trekkers to register will receive an awesome event t-shirt. Day-of-event registration is available, but Trekkers who register after May 20 cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt on the day of the walk.
Right now children with disabilities in our community are waiting for the fun and freedom of their very own Amtryke. Parents, recipients and therapists have noted that the Amtryke not only provides improved strength, tone and coordination but also confidence and positive peer interaction.
The Noon Network Chapter of AMBUCS, a nationwide 501c3 charity dedicated to Creating Mobility & Independence for People with Disabilities, will host the event. All pledges are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
