BENEFITING: SOCCER WITHOUT BORDERS
My name is Tori McGrath, I play varsity soccer at Nipmuc High School, and I am an ambassador for Soccer without Borders. Soccer Without Borders is an incredible organization that uses soccer as a means to create a positive change. They provide under-served youth with the skills to grow and improve, on and off the field. They work with immigrants and refugees within the United States, as well as internationally in Nicaragua and Uganda. Educational support, team building, civic engagement, soccer, and cultural exchange are just some of the outlets in which Soccer Without Borders impacts the lives of participants. Soccer is a big part of my life, and my passion for this incredible sport grows every time I lace up my cleats and step on the field. Soccer has taught me determination and perseverance. It has connected me with people across the country. It has taught me to never give up, despite the odds. I have grown as an athlete, student, and friend with the skills that soccer has taught me. Soccer is more than just a game, it is a part of who I am, and I truly believe that it can have a positive impact on the world.
