Founded in 2017, NESCorp was established to impact the underserved, low-income communities, and at risk youth of West Virginia.
Our organization successfully implemented a paid 3-day workshop that allowed 25 at risk youth to obtain a free laptop, acquire employability skills (keyboarding, resumes etc.) while learning the fundamentals of Microsoft Word and Excel to align with the demands of today's workforce. In addition to the "Nxt Level Innovators program," NESCorp implemented and developed a Robotics program for the Boys and Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle grades 6 through 8; assisted in the re-tooling and training of individuals presented with barriers to employment (i.e. legal, literacy); conducted Quality Assurance Assessments for various Job Corp Centers, entered into a partnership with CareerOneStop, a current host site, to employ qualified Senior applicants and S.N.A.P recipients. In the Charleston area, we partnered with Girl Scouts Black Diamond Council for a S.T.E.M. camp around escape rooms; provided videographer workshops to 100 youth at Stonewall Jackson Middle School to create public service announcements for teen opioid prevention resulting in 30 videos being created; partnered to provide 14 youth financial education; entered into an Memorandum of Understanding to provide S.T.E.M. programming in the related arts at Stonewall Jackson Middle School in 2019; and entered into an agreement for community programming with Asset Building Champions to service youth and adults.
We are located in Martinsburg, Moorefield, and Charleston, WV; as our vision now expands statewide.
