Dear friends and family:
I'm running at an event (The Relay), for a distance of 190 miles, as part of a 12 member relay team. We run from Calistoga to Santa Cruz (Apr 30-May 1), rain or shine, hoping to reach Santa Cruz before Sun sets on Sunday. We are supporting the organization called ORU (Organs R Us), which is a non-profit which supports families facing life threatening illness, provided scholarships for the Transplant Olympics and purchased computers used to register organ donors.
Three years ago, my little girl (Anoushka) was born with a kidney dis-order. She was on dialysis since she was five months old, and when she was a little over two years old, she got a kidney transplant. This transplant has given her, and us, a new lease of life. My wife and I are gifted to have a very good support system from friends and family, and enabled us to face this challenge in life. There are plenty of people like Anoushka, who are looking forward to a donor, to help change their lives for the better.
Help us in speading the good word, and donate generously towards this cause. Your support is very highly appreciated.
