As a kid, I didn't really care about personal hygiene. I spent any time I had playing outside and goofing off. Besides, your parents tell you to brush your teeth before bed and what do they know? Anyways, I enjoyed your more-than-average amount of chocolate and I've been consuming caffeine ever since my grandma introduced me to it when I was little. I still have never been able to replicate my grandmas cup of coffee. It ended up having more sugar and milk the older I got.

Throughout high school, I was always put back by my bad teeth. They were crooked and yellowed. When I was about 16, my parents took me to the dentist to get braces! I only had to have them on for a whole year as I took really good care of them and my teeth shifted quickly. I had never felt so confident!

A couple years later, my teeth are yellowed again and there's one bottom tooth that sticks out, due to lack of keeping up with my retainer. Not to mention, my mouth is full of cavities that I've had for a couple of years.

I've had a couple of fillings but I haven't been able to get anything else done, as it's a little expensive for me to afford, even with insurance. I've been waiting for so long that I'm afraid if I wait any longer, it'll be too late and I'll be toothless in my 20s.

I'm confident of the grown woman that I've turned into and I have a beautiful smile --- that I'm afraid to use, because I'm paranoid that someone is noticing how bad my teeth are.

Every bit helps and if you can't, I really appreciate you taking the time to read my story <3
