They warm our hearts when we see them. News stories and viral videos of employees reaching out to guests and customers with special needs. Even more powerful are direct witnesses of such positive interactions. It is enough to make your heart leap! Why are these stories and events so popular? They not only remind us of what Abraham Lincoln called "the better angels of our nature," but they also remind us how rare such one-on-one, encouraging interactions can be in an increasingly callous culture. However, at My Pal's Playground, an interactive gym serving children with a spectrum of needs-- including special and sensory needs-- personalized, validating interactions are at the heart of everything we do!
One simple truth we all know is that children love to play!! And at My Pal's Playground, we believe that all children deserve to have opportunities to play in a safe and understanding environment. For children and parents alike, My Pal's Playground is created to have specially trained employees who are ready to engage with families to meet individual needs. Our gym will be equipped with therapy swings, crash pads, fine and gross motor skill activities, as well as a "calming room" for those moments when a child needs a break but wants to return to play. With access to specialists and therapists, families and children can learn and practice skills with guidance. My Pal's Playground encourages positive social interactions, learning through play, supporting caregivers, and community connections! This is what My Pal's Playground is all about!
Our story is simple. With a rise of children receiving diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorders, ADHD, and other neurological disorders, it is clear that individual needs require more individual strategies, individual understanding, and individual care. The pals and My Pal's Playground pledge to provide that and more for those children we all know who truly deserve to have their needs met.
Your generous donation will make this safe and understanding facility possible! Thank you!
