My Mom's a Breast Cancer Survivor - Now Paying It Forward!
Organized by: Lisa Devall
My Mom is a Breast cancer survivor, and has been cancer free since 2007. She had a double mascectomy and a hysterectomy as part of her fight. Now, each year, she does a fundraiser, which is based at the school where she teaches, Toppenish Middle School. Most of her medical care and treatments were through Yakima Memorial Hospital, and O'Hana Mammography Center. My mom, (Linda Collins) involves her students in her fundraising, teaching them the value that comes from helping others and volunteering! This Web site allows the fundraiser to keep 99$ out of every $100 raised! I chose this site for that specific reason, to share her story, and ask all of my friends around the world, to donate what you can, even just $1.00! All proceeds will go to O'Hana Mammography Center, which offers prevention education, care, and early detection for women in the Yakima Valley. If you very kindly donate, if you would like one of the bracelets for cancer care mailed to you, I will gladly put one in an envelope and mail it to you! Just private message me your mailing address, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. This means a lot to our family. Upon her diagnosis, we were terrified we would lose our Mom. I figure if all of you show just a little love ($1.00!!) We can make a difference. Thank you for reading this. Please share as you feel fit across all of your social networks!
